Bio

Ana Lucia Amaral is a printmaker who lives and works in Portland, Maine. Amaral is currently studying printmaking at Maine College of Art & Design and will receive their BFA in 2024. Amaral is a co-founder of a printmaking collective called “Noise Collective '' which unifies entrepreneurial printmakers. Amaral has had work featured at 82 Parris Gallery and gallery spaces at MECA&D and University of Vermont. They currently primarily practice intaglio printmaking, using copper plate etchings to reclaim traumatic events.
